From the Petrie Family: Evan was a man with a cheerful grin. His willingness to lend a helping hand graced many a person's life. Evan tended to just spontaneously offer his assistance wherever he could, to whomever he could. His outward focus and his values in life were genuinely placed on what really mattered. He leaves behind a legacy of attributes that looks very much like the "fruit of the Spirit" described by Paul in the Bible. These include love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and so on. Evan will always be remembered for who he was and the good things that he did for other people. Evan is affectionately remembered as a big kid, who got down on their level. He is remembered by many children, especially my own sons Benjamin, Jonathan and Michael, as a very good friend, as someone who cared, as someone who had time for them. He has left them with many precious memories and with a good example on how to live a truly valuable life. I know that I speak on behalf of all of you, when I say that Evan will be sadly missed, but he will never be forgotten. |
